About Academic Personnel

This site contains information on faculty personnel matters at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  The office provides management and supervision of the human resources functions that govern the employment of faculty including policy and procedure development and implementation.  On behalf of the university, we work with university administrators and managers on recruitment, appointment, training, performance reviews, policy interpretation and development, systems management, grievances, and compensation issues.  We are also responsible for supporting the campus promotion and tenure process.
